 Castrol Aircol PD Air Compressor Oils Description Castrol Aircol PD is formulated from highly refined paraffinic base stocks £ánd incorporates additives to improve oxidation resistance £ánd thermal stability in addition to the inherently good demulsification performance. This range comprises five viscosity grades, Castrol Aircol PD 32, PD 46, PD 68, PD 100, £ánd PD 150. Selection should follow the compressor manufacturers’ recommendation for the specific ambient temperatures applying but in general, for temperate conditions, the low viscosity grade, Castrol Aircol PD 32 £ánd PD 46, are required for rotary oil-flooded types while Castrol Aircol PD 68 £ánd PD 100 would be selected for the crankcase £ánd cylinders of reciprocating compressors. Castrol Aircol PD 150 would normally only be required for use in high ambient temperatures.
