A Marine Biodegradable Grease especially formulated for use in sensitive marine environments which demand
a NLGI 2 grease
Product Description
GulfSea BD EP2 Grease is an Environmentally Sensitive Lubricant Grease. It is a Lithium / Calcium thickened
lubricating grease formulated from fully saturated renewable esters ａnd high performance additives to provide
structural stability, resistance to water washout ａnd effective protection from wear ａnd corrosion.
Features & Benefits
• GulfSea BD EP2 Grease ａnd its components are biodegradable according to OECD test 301B ａnd can
be considered minimally toxic according to OECD tests 201/202/203 ａnd as such meets the VGP
definition of an Environmentally Acceptable Lubricant.
• The grease has a wide operating temperature range; -25°C to +125°C.
• May be applied manually or by suitable mechanical applicators.
• Good resistance to the water wash-off.
• Provides effective corrosion protection to metals commonly found in the marine environment.
• Has excellent EP/load carrying capabilities containing EP additives to reduce wear ａnd friction.
• Good oxidation resistance as per ASTM D 942.
• Compatible with Nitrile ａnd Fluoroelastomers as per ASTM D4289.

Use in marine applications demanding a biodegradable VGP compliant NLGI 2 grease.
General greasing of deck equipment ａnd wire ropes.
