Streptomyces virginiae DNA for 16S rRNA, strain ATCC 13161.
本菌属在高氏一号琼脂培养基上无可溶性色素产生,菌落为扁平、淡紫色偏灰,基丝为象牙黄。可在营养琼脂培养基,葡萄糖-天门冬酰胺培养基,酵母膏-麦芽膏培养基贝奈特培养基上良好生长。生长温度范围为20~45℃,pH5.0~12.0。产生淀粉水解酶,无H2S产生,产生黑色素,不能利用纤维素生长,硝酸盐还原试验为阴性,不能使牛奶固化和胨化,明胶液化试验为阴性。能利用尿素、乳糖、木糖、麦芽糖、葡萄糖、丁二酸钠、肌醇、蜜二糖、棉子糖、柠檬酸钠、络氨酸作为碳源和能源生长,但不能利用半乳糖、丙二酸钠、甘露糖、甘露醇、鼠李糖、马尿酸钠、阿拉伯糖、果糖和山梨糖作为碳源。氮源为:甘氨酸、组氨酸、赖氨酸、色氨酸、硝酸钾、亚硝酸钠。细胞壁含L,L-DAP,甘氨酸,细胞壁类型I(cell-walltypeI)。G+C%为68.8mol%。
