本装置与船用生活污水处理装置配套使用，用于对厨房灰水的处理，可撇去厨房灰水中的油脂，经过除油后的厨房灰水，重力自流进船用生活污水处理装置进行生化处理。

本装置利用油与水的密度的不同，在停留时间适当的情况下， 使油与水沉淀分离，从而达到撇油的目的。

装置分三个腔室，厨房灰水入装置个腔室，在此 腔室内灰水入口处有形挡板，降低了水的流速和含油污水的搅动。在腔室内停留一定时间后，油脂将上浮， 分离后的水进入腔室。当继续有灰水进入时，使腔室内的水进入第三个腔室，油脂将保留在二腔室上部， 分离后的水从灰水排放水口处排出。

The device is divided into three chambers. The kitchen grey water enters the first chamber of the device first. There is a shaped baffle at the entrance of the grey water in this chamber, which effectively reduces the flow rate of water ａnd the agitation of oily sewage. After a certain amount of time in the first chamber, the oil will float up ａnd the separated water will enter the second chamber. When the grey water continues to enter, the water in the second chamber enters the third chamber, the grease will be retained in the upper part of the first ａnd second chambers, ａnd the separated water will be discharged from the grey water discharge mouth.
