mvi69-mnet
the inrax modbus tcp/ip communications module (mvi69-mnet) is designed to allow compactlogix processors to easily interface with other modbus tcp/ip protocol-compatible devices.
features and benefits
the module acts as a gateway between the modbus tcp/ip network and the allen-bradley backplane. data transfer between the module and the compactlogix processor is asynchronous to the modbus tcp/ip network, with the module"s internal database being used to exchange data between the processor and the network.
the mvi69-mcm module is a powerful communication interface for compactlogix platform processors. developed under license from rockwell automation, the module incorporates proprietary backplane technology that enables powerful data access between the module and the compactlogix processor.

- support for the storage and transfer of up to 5000 registers to/from the compactlogix processor"s controller tags
- module memory usage that is completely user definable
- 10/100 mb ethernet compatible interface
- configurable parameters for the client include:
- minimum response delay: 0 to 65535 ms

general specifications common to all modules in the mvi69 family include:
- single slot compactlogix backplane compatible
- the module is configured using the generic profile in the rslogix programming software
- supported compactlogix processors: l20/l30/l35
- the micrologix 1500 controller with lrp firmware version 6.0 or newer is supported by the module
- module setup via a simple configuration text file downloaded via configuration/debug port
- configuration data is stored in the module"s non-volatile memory
- 60 (default), 120 and 240 word input/output data transfer lengths available, user se-lectable
- multiple modules can be placed in the same rack -- up to the limits of the power supply and backplane data transfer
- local and extended rack -- the module will function in both the local and the extended rack configurations
- high speed data transfer across the backplane provides quick data up-date times. data transfer timing tests based on different input and output data block lengths yielded the following best case results with an l35e processor:
