profibus to scanport communication adapter
1560-pdp
the prosoft 1560-pdp profibus dp module is designed to allow profibus dp based plcs to interface directly to the allen-bradley family of scanport compatible devices allowing high speed access to the operating status and control parameters, as well as the parameter table.
the 1560-pdp module is simple to use, requiring only the setting of several dip-switch options. the parameters from the a-b devices are pre-mapped to simplify reading and writing using standard commands. use of input and output data has been optimized to enhance control and status monitoring performance as well as access to the scanport datalinks.
applications
the 1560-pdp has been designed specifically to allow allen-bradley scanport devices to interface with siemens plc and/or any host that supports the profibus dp protocol. as such, possible applications of the 1560-pdp product exist in nearly every sector of industry.
