the mvi56-dfcm module is a single slot, backplane compatible df1 interface solution for the allen-bradley controllogix platform. this module provides highly configurable support of two df1 half/full duplex master/slave ports, allowing the many scada and field devices supporting df1 half/full duplex protocol to be integrated into the powerful controllogix platform.

features

the mvi56-dfcm module has three active serial ports:

cfg -- debug/configuration: rs-232

prt1 -- df1 half/full duplex master/slave: rs-232, rs-422 or rs-485

prt2 -- df1 half/full duplex master/slave: rs-232, rs-422 or rs-485

prt1 and prt2 are jumper configured for direct or multi-dr-op field communication.

the two df1 half/full duplex ports are configured independently, allowing the module to operate in any one of the following configurations:

once configured, the module will perform all protocol related functions on a stand-alone basis.
