Designed to homogenize cells ａnd plant tissue or to re-suspend protein ａnd DNA pellets. Pestles ａnd microtubes are manufactured from polybutylene terephthalate （PBTP） in an ISO Class 7 （FED-STD-209E Class 10,000/M5.5） cleanroom. They are DNase-, RNase-, ａnd pyrogen-free. The pestle features a grooved grip handle tailored to fit the microtube. The grooved grip makes the handle easy to turn without slipping, even when wearing gloves. Pestle length: 7.5cm （3"）. Optional battery-powered motor can be used with pestles ａnd microtubes. Motor is lightweight ａnd greatly reduces hand fatigue. Its high-speed vortexing action completely homogenizes cell tissue ａnd pellets within seconds.
