产品介绍：KMT1C/G9a is a histone methytransferase that preferentially methylates K9 ａnd K27 of histone H3 in vitro. H3 K9 methylation serves as a mark for epigenetic transcriptional repression by recruiting HP1 to the site of this post-translational modification. The binding of HP1 also may serve to recruit Dnmt3a/b, resulting in DNA methylation. G9a-mediated histone methylation plays a significant role in epigenetic silencing.Subcellular Location : Nucleus. Chromosome. Tissue Specificity : Expressed in all tissues examined, with high levels in fetal liver, thymus, lymph node, spleen ａnd peripheral blood leukocytes ａnd lower level in bone marrow.Similarity : Belongs to the histone-lysine methyltransferase family.
