Introduction Maltose Binding Protein is a member of the maltose/maltodextrin system of E.Coli, which is accountable for the uptake ａnd efficient catabolism of maltodextrins. The maltose/maltodextrin is a complex regulatory ａnd transport system involving many proteins ａnd protein complexes.
MBP elevates the yield of its fusion partner in many cases ａnd is often able to promote the solubility of polypeptides to which it is fused. Description Maltose Binding Protein Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 387 amino acids ａnd having a molecular mass of 42 kDa. Source Escherichia Coli. Physical Appearance Sterile Filtered colorless solution. Formulation The Maltose Binding Protein solution contains 20mM Tris pH-8. Stability Maltose Binding Protein although stable 4°C for 4 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein （0.1% HSA or BSA）.
