Introduction Chlamydia is a common term for infection with any bacterium belonging to the phylum Chlamydiae. This term derives from the name of the bacterial genus Chlamydiain the family Chlamydiaceae, order Chlamydiales, class ａnd phylum Chlamydiae. There are two genera in Chlamydiaceae: Chlamydia ａnd Chlamydophila. The genus Chlamydia includes three species: C. trachomatis, C. muridarum, ａnd C. suis. Product Description The E.coli derived recombinant 6xHis fusion at C-terminus protein contains Chlamydia TrachomatisMOMP protein epitopes, 252-398 amino acids. Purification Method Chlamydia W5-W6 protein was purified by proprietary chromatographic technique. Purity Chlamydia W5-W6 protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE （coomassie staining） ａnd RP-HPLC. Formulation 10mM Tris-HCl, pH 6.0, 100mM Sodium Phosphate ａnd 8M urea. Storage Chlamydia W5-W6 protein is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon arrival, Store at -20°C. Stability Five years frozen. One month in solution at room temperature. Specificity Immunoreactive with sera of Chlamydia Trachomatis infected individuals. Applications Chlamydia W5-W6 protein is suitable for use in ELISA. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
