产品介绍:EphA5, also known as Ehk1, Bsk, Cek7, Hek7, and Rek7, is a member of the Eph receptor family, which binds members of the Ephrin ligand family. Two classes of receptors exist, designated A and B, that have an extracellular domain made up of a globular domain, a cysteine-rich domain, and two fibronectin type III domains, followed by the transmembrane region and cytoplasmic region. The cytoplasmic region is a juxtamembrane region with two tyrosines, the major autophosphorylation sites, along with a kinase domain, and a conserved sterile alpha motif (SAM) in the C-terminus, the latter including one conserved tyrosine.Subunit : Heterotetramer upon binding of the ligand. The heterotetramer is composed of an ephrin dimer and a receptor dimer. Oligomerization is probably required to induce biological responses.Subcellular Location : Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Cell projection, axon. Cell projection, dendrite.Tissue Specificity : Almost exclusively expressed in the nervous system in cortical neurons, cerebellar Purkinje cells and pyramidal neurons within the cortex and hippocampus. Display an increasing gradient of expression from the forebrain to hindbrain and spinal cord.Similarity : Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. Tyr protein kinase family. Ephrin receptor subfamily.Contains 1 Eph LBD (Eph ligand-binding) domain.Contains 2 fibronectin type-III domains.Contains 1 protein kinase domain.Contains 1 SAM (sterile alpha motif) domain.
