产品介绍：Extracellular signal related protein kinase 5/big mitogen activated protein kinase 1 （ERK5/BMK1） is an 88 kDa member of the MAP kinase superfamily that becomes fully activated when phosphorylated on threonine 218 ａnd tyrosine 220 by MEK5. ERK5 is activated in response to certain growth factors ａnd bioactive peptides, however the upstream activators are distinct from those that activate ERK1 ａnd 2.Subunit : Interacts with MAP2K5. Forms oligomers （By similarity）. Interacts with MEF2A, MEF2C ａnd MEF2D; the interaction phosphorylates the MEF2s ａnd enhances transcriptional activity of MEF2A, MEF2C but not MEF2D （By similarity）. Interacts with SGK1.Subcellular Location : Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Translocates to the nucleus upon activation.Tissue Specificity : Expressed in many adult tissues. Abundant in heart, placenta, lung, kidney ａnd skeletal muscle. Not detectable in liver.Similarity : Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. CMGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family.
