HO-PEG-FA is composed of a straight chain polyethylene glycol (PEG) connected to a folate (FA) molecule. At the end of PEG, there is a hydroxyl (HO) group attached, which makes HO-PEG-FA both hydrophilic ａnd lipophilic. This unique structure enables HO-PEG-FA to have good solubility in aqueous solutions ａnd can penetrate the cell membrane ａnd enter the interior of the cell.

HO-PEG-FA has good water solubility ａnd cell membrane permeability. HO-PEG-FA can also be used to label biomolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, etc. By combining with these biomolecules, localization, tracking, ａnd quantitative analysis of biomolecules can be achieved.
