C12L14是易切削结构钢，易切削钢是易被（车、铣、拉、刨、钻等）切削加工的钢种，又叫自动机床加工用钢，简称自动钢。它是为适应机械加工自动化和流水作业线生产而产生的
主要用于制作受力较小而对尺寸和光洁度要求严格的仪器仪表、手表零件、汽车、机床和其他各种机器上使用的，对尺寸精度和光洁度要求严格，而对机械性能要求相对较低的标准件，如齿轮、轴、螺栓、阀门、衬套、销钉、管接头、弹簧座垫及机床丝杠、塑料成型模具、外科和牙科手术用具等。
易切削钢的特点：1.加工性能好：产品具有切削流畅，材质优良，加工稳定，金相组织好，化学成份稳定、偏差小，钢质纯度净，夹杂物含量低，不易损伤刀具等特点；极容易在车床切削，刀具使用寿命和生产效率均提高40%；2.电镀性能好：切削加工非常容易；可钻深孔、铣深槽等；加工效率比普钢可大幅提高；产品的电镀性能好，能替代铜制品，大大降低产品成本；3.光洁性好：经车加工后的工件表面光洁度好；4.环保性：符合欧盟SGS环境认证标准，并通过瑞士环境认证。

ETG100 是一个具有高强度的易切削钢材料。它是碳钢成分，不含铅，但具易加工性能特别好，适用于高速CNC加工，并具有良好的焊接性能。
它的钢材主要是棒材，用于加工各种轴类零件。由于此材料的内外部各个截面强度一致，所以可以加工成各种形状的零件，并还能保持很高的强度。
S45CL该钢含碳量在0.4%以上，耐磨性优良，但延展性减少，淬火易变形和开裂，故热处理极为重要，且回火后无需急冷，因其没有第二类回火脆性。通过对该钢实行球化处理，可以改善这类碳钢的切削加工性能。广泛用于机械制造
