　　虽然自动机械手表不含电池，但一些简单易行的保养还是非常必要的。这会对延长机械表使用寿命及保持良好机芯状态非常有帮助。

　　机械表的保养要注意以下几点：

　　(1)戴机械表时，手上的汗水对表壳有腐蚀性，全钢表壳由于是镍铬合金，抗腐蚀性能好些，半钢表壳是铜的，长期与汗水接触，容易腐蚀，应经常用软布抹去汗水或垫上塑料表托，以防止其被汗水侵蚀。

　　(6)普通机械手表受了潮，可用干棉花压在机械表上，再用40瓦的电灯泡烘烤5分钟，表里的潮气就可全部被蒸发出来。 如果石英电子手表受了潮，可取若干小块氯化钙，用纱布包好;然后打开电子表盖，将包好的氯化钙和电子表一并放入一个不漏气的塑料袋或玻璃瓶内，密封。一般 3个小时左右即可除潮，使电子表恢复正常。对于受潮严重的表可适当延长吸潮时间。

　　(7)收到一只心爱的机械表，拆掉外面包装时，千万要保存好防护机械表所用的包装盒。这些保护机械表的包装盒，能在平常不配戴时给予机械表最安全的保护，避免机械表被摔坏或是被碰撞，所以将包装盒保留是绝对必要的，而且建议在平日不戴机械表时，养成习惯放入盒内，就能大大减低机械表损坏的机率。

　　(8)平常最好不要天天戴同一只机械表，应多准备几款不同的机械表交替使用，除了能丰富个人的造型，也可避免灰尘、体垢全集中在同一只机械表上。对于皮表带，更要小心呵护，以免天天使用造成表带的经常性磨损拉扯，那么即使表面新新的，机械表看起来也会十分老旧。

　　(9)把机械表戴在手腕子上睡觉，如果机械表是夜光表，就会给身体带来不利影响。这是因为夜光表的指针和刻度盘上涂的发光材料，主要是镭和硫化锌的混合物，镭放出的射线能激发硫化锌晶体发光，睡觉时，如果戴着表，人体就会受到八至九小时的镭辐射，对人体有一定危害。因此，睡觉前，最好把夜光表取下来，放到桌子上。
