Ingredients: 0.1% gelatin, 5mM Vernal, 145mM NaCl, 0.025% NaN3, pH7.3
Apply GVBo to prepare rabbit red blood cells (Er) and clean them before use for assay; GVBo can be used to dilute all components of the complement bypass pathway test.
Concept:
During the dissolution process, two types of changes occur: one is the diffusion of solute molecules (or ions) into water under the action of water molecules, which absorbs heat; the other is the interaction between solute molecules (or ions) and water molecules, generating water and molecules (or water and ions), which release heat.
There are two changes during the dissolution process of substances:
Diffusion process: The diffusion of solute molecules (or ions) into water is a physical process that absorbs heat
Hydration process: the molecules (or ions) of solute interact with water molecules to generate hydrated molecules (or hydrated ions), which is a chemical process and emits heat
Temperature changes during dissolution process:
a. The heat absorbed during the diffusion process is greater than the heat released during the hydration process, resulting in a decrease in solution temperature, such as NH4NO3 dissolved in water.
b. The heat absorbed during the diffusion process is less than the heat released during the hydration process, and the solution temperature increases, such as NaOH or concentrated sulfuric acid dissolved in water.
c. The heat absorbed during the diffusion process ≈ the heat released during the hydration process, and the temperature of the solution remains almost constant, such as NaCl dissolved in water.
明胶弗洛拿缓冲液(Gelatin Veronal Buffer, GVB)和弗洛拿缓冲的生理盐水(Veronal Buffered Saline, VBS)是补体研究的必备缓冲液, 弗洛拿缓冲的生理盐水(VBS)和明胶弗洛拿缓冲液(GVB)相比缺少明胶组分。

应用 GVBo应用于制备兔红细胞(Er),并在用于测定对其进行清洗; GVBo可用于稀释补体旁路途径试验的所有组分。
概念:
在溶解过程中发生了两种变化一种是溶质的分子(或离子)在水分子的作用下向水中扩散这一过程吸收热量另一种是扩散的溶质的分子(或离子)和水分子作用,生成水和分子(或水和离子),这一过程放出热量。
物质溶解过程中的两种变化:
扩散过程:溶质的分子(或离子)向水中扩散,是物理过程,吸收热量
水合过程:溶质的分子(或离子)和水分子作用,生成水合分子(或水合离子),是化学过程,放出热量
溶解过程中的温度变化:
a.扩散过程中吸收的热量>水合过程中放出的热量,溶液温度降低,如:NH4NO3溶解于水。
b.扩散过程中吸收的热量<水合过程中放出的热摄,溶液温度升高,如:NaOH、浓硫酸溶解于水。
c.扩散过程中吸收的热量≈水合过程中放出的热量溶液温度几乎不变,如:NaCl溶解于水。
