The application should use GVB++to prepare antibody sensitized sheep red blood cells (EA) and clean them before use for testing; GVB++can be used to dilute all components of complement classical pathway and lectin pathway experiments.

The application of GVBE is usually used as a buffer added at the end of the assay to prevent complement activation and dilute the reaction to a level that can be read by spectrophotometry. It is also used to establish a control experiment where complement activation should not occur.

Name SGVB++(with Ca++and Mg++) Gelatin Flora Buffer Containing Sucrose, Ca++, and Mg++
Ingredients: 170mM Sucrose, 0.1% gelatin, 5mM Vernal, 57mM NaCl, 0.025% NaN3, 0.15mM calcium chloride, and 0.5mM magnesium chloride, pH 7.3
SGVB++can be used to detect C1 in purified C1 complex (product number A098) and normal human serum samples. In these experiments, all components were diluted in SGVB++and EA cells were washed into this buffer. In binding experiments, such as detecting the binding of C5, factor B, or factor H to EsC3b cells (sheep red blood cells with surface bound C3b) or ZymosanC3b cells, it also benefits from being performed in SGVB++. The combination of SGVB++can be enhanced as much as 10 times compared with the use of buffer solutions with physiological ionic strength (such as GVB or PBS).
