一般描述
Mossel Broth is a selective enrichment media for bile-tolerant, Gram-negative bacteria, ａnd particularly Enterobacteriaceae such as Salmonella, Shigella, ａnd other enteric pathogens from non-sterile pharmaceutical products, foodstuff, ａnd other materials. Glucose is the main energy source ａnd supports the rapid growth of all Enterobacteriaceae. The enzymatic digest of animal tissue provides nitrogen, vitamins, ａnd amino acids. The high buffering capacity of the culture medium prevents the acid formed from killing the culture. The undesired accompanying bacterial flora is completely inhibited by brilliant green ａnd bile.
