Function	Acyl-CoA synthetase involved in bile acid metabolism. Proposed to catalyze the first step in the conjugation of C24 bile acids (choloneates) to glycine ａnd taurine before excretion into bile canaliculi by activating them to their CoA thioesters. Application

Western blot analysis of SLC27A5 Antibody (Center) in Hela cell line lysates (35ug/lane). SLC27A5 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.
Application

Formalin-fixed ａnd paraffin-embedded human kidney reacted with SLC27A5 Antibody (Center), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

SLC27A5 Antibody (Center) flow cytometric analysis of Hela cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
