Function	Ubiquitin-like protein that can be covalently attached to proteins as a monomer or as a lysine-linked polymer. Covalent attachment via an isopeptide bond to its substrates requires prior activation by the E1 complex SAE1-SAE2 ａnd linkage to the E2 enzyme UBE2I, ａnd can be promoted by an E3 ligase such as PIAS1-4, RANBP2 or CBX4. This post-translational modification on lysine residues of proteins plays a crucial role in a number of cellular processes such as nuclear transport, DNA replication ａnd repair, mitosis ａnd signal transduction. Application

Formalin-fixed ａnd paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.
Application

The SUMO2 C-term Antibody is used in Western blot to detect SUMO2 in GST-SUMO2 fusion protein (lane 1) ａnd HL60 cell lysate (lane 2).

Western blot analysis of SUMO2 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal SUMO2 Antibody . 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the SUMO2 gene.

Storage Instructions	For short-term storage, store at 4° C. For long-term storage, aliquot ａnd store at -20ºC or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Storage Buffer	Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein G column, eluted with high ａnd low pH buffers ａnd neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
